Editorial priorities
Guides should help a home cook make a concrete decision. We prioritize clear time and temperature ranges, preparation details, texture cues, finishing options, common mistakes, and a final food-safety check. We avoid unsupported superlatives, invented precision, and claims that a single time works in every kitchen.
How we update guides
Each public guide comes from a source file that keeps its cooking values and references together. We may improve the wording, units, or page layout without quietly changing a temperature or time. Important safety claims are checked against current advice from agencies such as the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
How we check our work
Automated checks make sure every guide loads, links work, source values match the public page, and the safety section is present. These checks catch publishing mistakes, but they do not turn the site into a laboratory or guarantee identical results in every appliance.
Tools can help with formatting and consistency, but they are not a reason to add an unsupported cooking or safety claim. We only call a guide personally tested when we have support for that statement.
Corrections
Send corrections to admin@learnsousvide.com. Include the page URL, the text or value that looks wrong, and a reliable supporting source. When a correction is needed, we update the guide at its source so future versions stay consistent.
